Ruby Laver

Ruby Laver is an artist based in Sydney whose practice moves between glass, painting, and works on paper.

Across these mediums, the work stays close to color, line, and the emotional charge of form.

The work returns to atmosphere, contour, and the pressure between softness and structure. In the glass pieces, color is carried through translucent form; in the paintings and studies, image and mark are allowed to stay more direct.

Each piece is approached as a held surface where gesture, memory, and close looking can remain visible at the same time.
